Camera Word Translator(WordTrans) using the iPhones camera and Augmented Reality technology to recognize the words of the menu, newspaper or books is translated into the desired language.
And with the camera to recognize the word on the clipboard to copy and can be used in other applications. (Google Serach, Wikipedia etc.)
You can use the searching function with captured word as keyword clicking "Search" button.(Google Search)
- First, you must set the language settings. Otherwise, the application will terminate the abnormal.
- To recognize words you do not need to take a picture.
- Recognition of available languages include English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Norwegian, Dutch,
Finish, Swedish, Turkish, Greek, Polish, Danish.
- Your iPhone or iPod must connected to 3G network or WiFi.
- Since it costs to use 3G Network, data transmission is slower than WiFi.
- In the next version of the WordTrans, Korean, Japanese, Chinese will be added.
- Caution : Continued use of the flash may dramatically decrease battery life.
